WHERE ARE YOU GETTING MARRIED?

We are getting married at Elly’s Senior Directors home in West Linn. He was kind enough to allow us to rent his beautiful property to host all our loved ones.

With that … Elly here… this is my employer. Please treat his property with respect <3

HOW FAR IS THE VENUE FROM PDX?

From the airport, without traffic, on a Saturday, our venue is 30 minutes from PDX Airport.

From Downtown Portland, closer to 20 minutes.

WHERE SHOULD I STAY?

We do not have a room block but we do have recommendations! Portland has many wonderful options but below are some of our favorites.

PORTLAND

★ Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront - a great option if you want to stay on Portland’s Waterfront! Walking path outside along with coffee shops and restaurants nearby.

★The Nines, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Portland - OK boujee! A Portland classic. The Nines is in the heart of Downtown close to Pioneer Square.

★Hotel deLuxe - Giving art deco, giving grand… slighly more affordable? Maybe haunted? We have not stayed here so you can be the judge! We absolutely love the Driftwood Bar downstairs and Tea at Gracies (the restaurant on site.)

OUTSIDE OF PORTLAND

We recommend checking out Airbnb in Lake Oswego or West Linn.A great option if Portland is a bit too busy for you!

WHAT IS THIS BEAUTIFUL FLORAL MOTIF ON YOUR INVITATIONS?

Thanks for asking! Elly’s dad, Jaro, made that flower by a practice called “Linocut.”

Linocut is a relief printmaking technique where a design is carved into a sheet of linoleum. Ink is then applied to the raised, uncarved areas, and transferred onto paper or fabric. Favored for its bold lines and accessible nature, it is used by artists worldwide to create striking, reproducible artwork.

He learned how to do this for this purpose and we are so grateful. Stay tuned to see his art appear at other moments of our big day.

YOU SAID FORMAL DRESS CODE.. ANY THING TO NOTE?

We ultimately want our guests to be comfortable but please refrain from wearing jeans and short dresses. Maxi, midi and tea length dresses are wonderful! We are so excited to see everyone dressed up.

Please note that the event will take place on grass. Please plan footwear accordingly.

We will provide citronella candles and bug spray.
